About Alê Abreu
Designer, filmmaker and visual artist, he was born in São Paulo, studied in a course at MIS (Museum of Image and Sound), making his first film, Memória de Elefante, in 1984.
In the 1990s, he graduated in communication and produced the short films Sírius (1993) and Espantalho (1998). He worked in the advertising area and executed illustrations for magazines, newspapers and books. In 2008 he released Garoto Cósmico (2007) and the short film Passo (2007).
In 2007 he was the artist honored by Anima Mundi and in 2009 he created and directed the pilot of the series Vivi Viravento for AnimaTV, on TV Cultura. he released his second book as an author, the children's Mas Seráque Nasceria a Macieira?, in partnership with Priscilla Kellen. Also in 2010 he was the invited artist to create the image of 18 years of Anima Mundi. In 2014 he released O Menino eo Mundo, a 46-award-winning film nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animation (Feature Film) in the 2016 edition of the award.
He is currently working on pre-production on his new film Perlimps and on the artistic supervision of the Vivi Viravento series.
